Powered probe that feeds 12V or ground straight down a wire so you can actuate shift solenoids, find a dead ground, and read injector waveforms.
The ANCEL PB600 is a powered circuit probe, so it does what a test light cannot: it puts battery voltage or a clean ground on a wire from the probe tip itself. On a transmission job that matters, because most "bad transmission" complaints that turn out to be electrical are a shift solenoid, a pressure control solenoid, or a range switch that never sees power or never sees ground. You hook the alligator clips to the battery, back-probe the connector, and either read what the circuit is doing or force the component to actuate so you can hear it click.
It runs on 12V or 24V vehicle power with a 5-30V operating range, and it covers DC and AC voltage, resistance, continuity, diode, frequency, duty cycle and polarity. The oscilloscope mode is the part techs use most on driveline work: you can watch an injector or an O2 sensor signal, or watch a PWM solenoid command, and tell the difference between a circuit that is dead and a circuit that is being commanded but not responding. Injector signal capture reads up to 260V, well above the 0-110V ceiling on cheaper probes, so the flyback spike does not clip.
Beyond circuit work it will load-test a 12V battery, check cranking and charging, test 4-pin and 5-pin relays with the included relay cable, and check fuses in circuit. Reach is 10 ft on the main lead plus a 20 ft extension, which is enough to work a rear axle harness or a trailer plug from the front of the vehicle. Kit includes long and short probe tips, a wire-piercing probe, battery clip cable, relay test cable, hanging hook and a carrying case. Built-in circuit breaker plus a replaceable 10A fuse protects the tool if you power a dead short.
