Autel MD806 Transmission ABS SRS Engine Scan Tool

The Autel MaxiDiag MD806 is a four-system scan tool that reads and clears trouble codes on the engine, transmission, ABS, and SRS airbag modules, not just generic powertrain codes. Plug it into the 16-pin OBD2 port, run an Auto Scan, and it pulls the diagnostic trouble codes and live sensor data out of the ECM, the TCM, the ABS controller, and the airbag module so you can see why the check-engine, ABS, or airbag light is on before you start pulling parts.

On the transmission side it reads the TCM codes and lets you watch live data such as transmission fluid temperature, gear commanded, and solenoid status, which is what you need when you are chasing a slipping shift, a stuck solenoid, or an overheating complaint. On the engine side it does all ten modes of OBD2, including freeze-frame capture, live PID graphing to spot a lazy O2 sensor or a misfiring cylinder, Mode 6 on-board monitors, and I/M readiness for a smog check. Codes and live data can be printed to a diagnostic report through the PC software.

It also carries seven of the resets a shop actually charges for: oil service reset, electronic parking brake (EPB) service, steering angle sensor (SAS) calibration, diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration, battery registration (BMS) after a battery swap, throttle body relearn, and air/fuel adjustment. The reset functions are vehicle-specific, so confirm coverage for your VIN before you count on a particular service.

Coverage is domestic, Asian, and European makes on OBD2 vehicles from 1996 through 2015, best on 2002 to 2014 model years, with limited support on a few 2015 to 2017 models. It does not cover 2018 and newer vehicles, it is not a bidirectional/active-test tool, and it does not do TPMS or ABS brake bleeding. Software updates are free for the life of the tool through the Autel PC suite on a Windows computer. Ships with the OBD2 cable and a molded carry case.
