On the job you thread the correct adapter into the transmission's line-pressure test port, connect the oil-resistant hose, and read line pressure at idle and under load. The screen holds current, max, min, and differential values, and the buttons let you zero, lock, and clear a reading, so you can watch commanded pressure rise and fall as the trans shifts and compare it against spec without a helper.

Use it to pin down a weak or worn pump, a sticking pressure regulator or boost valve, a clogged filter, or slipping clutch packs by confirming whether line pressure actually climbs the way it should. The kit ships with metric, NPT, and quick-connect riveted-copper adapters plus the hose, covering most domestic and import automatics, and a 40 bar overload rating protects the sensor from pressure spikes.
