A threaded seal driver that presses inner axle seals squarely into Dana 30, 44 and 60 housings to the right depth without cocking or chewing up the seal. CNC-machined steel with a stepped puck that fits a wide range of Spicer-style seals.
Anyone who has tried to tap an inner axle seal into a Dana housing with a hammer and a socket knows how easy it is to drive it in crooked or bottom it out too deep and start a leak. This tool takes the guessing out of it. You drop the new seal onto the stepped puck, set the puck and threaded rod into the axle tube, and simply run the nut down. The seal walks in dead straight and stops where you want it, every time.
The puck is machined with different inner and outer diameters on each face, so one tool covers a long list of Spicer-style seals across Dana 30, Dana 44 and Dana 60 axles, front and rear. That means it works on everything from a Jeep Wrangler TJ or JK gear swap to a Ford Super Duty, a full-size Chevy or GMC truck, a Dodge Ram, and older Broncos, Scouts and Volvos. The body is CNC-machined heavy-duty steel with a zinc-black finish, so it shrugs off the torque you put through it and will not rust sitting in the box between jobs.
A couple of shop notes from folks who use it: grease the threads before you start and it runs down almost by hand, and on some housings you will want to set the seal just below the lip first with the small face, then flip to the large face to seat it flush. Take your time and do not over-drive it and you get a clean, leak-free seal. Ships from the USA.
