Pulls and reinstalls the dual clutch pack on Ford DPS6 dry DCT units in Fiesta and Focus without replacing the whole clutch assembly.
This is the puller and installer set for the Ford DPS6 dry dual clutch. The DPS6 clutch pack is held on the input shafts by a retaining snap ring, and once that ring is off the pack will not come free by hand. This kit gives you a three-jaw assembly and a center threaded bar that pushes against the input shaft and walks the clutch straight off the splines without cocking it.
Fitment is the Ford DPS6 six-speed dry dual clutch: Fiesta 2011-2019, Focus 2012-2018, Transit Connect 2019, and B-MAX 2012 and up. These are the units that show up with shudder on takeoff, clutch slip codes, and the well known DPS6 clutch replacement job. The same tool resets and re-engages the clutch springs on reassembly, so the lock comes off and the unlock goes back in without fighting spring pressure.
Bench sequence: mount the tool and seat it firmly against the input shaft, pull the dual clutch retaining snap ring, attach the three-jaw assembly to the clutch, then turn the threaded bar about 20 full turns past first contact. The pack comes off evenly instead of binding on one side. Reversing the process seats the clutch back on the shafts.
The jaws and bar are forged steel, hardened and machined to tolerance so they do not spread or gall when you load them. The set ships in a case with a pair of work gloves.
