Removes and installs the input shaft oil seals on Ford's DPS6 6DCT250 dual-clutch transmission in the Fiesta, Focus, B-Max and EcoSport.
This kit does one job the DPS6 dry dual-clutch demands and no shop-drawer tool will: it drives the input shaft oil seals out and back in on Ford's 6DCT250 (DPS6) transaxle without gouging the bore or nicking the new seal on the way in. If you have chased a slipping or shuddering DPS6, you already know the input seals leak clutch-drum grease onto the friction faces, and they cannot be reused once the unit is opened.
It covers the DPS6 6DCT250 as fitted to the Ford Fiesta (2011 and up), Focus (2012 and up), B-Max (2012 and up), and EcoSport (2013 and up). The pieces line up with Ford/Rotunda special-service tools 307-671, 307-672, 307-673, and 307-674, so the seals seat to the correct depth instead of by feel.
On the bench you pull the old input seals with the removal collars, set the new seal square on the driver, and press it home to the shoulder in one motion. The tapered pilots keep the seal lip from folding as it passes the shaft splines. Every piece is hardened, coated steel and stores in a locking blow-mold case so the set stays complete between jobs.
