DPS6 6DCT250 Dry Dual Clutch Remover & Installer Tool Kit

This is the clutch remover and installer set for the Ford DPS6 dry dual clutch (6DCT250) PowerShift transmission. It replaces Ford service tool FM No. 307675 and is the fixture you need to get the twin dry clutch pack out of the bellhousing without wrecking it, then re-spring and reset it so it can go back in. Fitment covers Fiesta 2011-2019, Focus 2012-2018, Transit Connect 2019, and B-MAX from 2012.

On the bench the job runs in two stages. First you drop the locked dual clutch into the mounting sleeve, fit the three extension jaws into the correct holes on the pack and lock them down, then run the threaded center bar in about 20 turns after it touches the input shaft to draw the clutch off. Second, to reload it you insert the clutch adjusters into the two motor electromechanical units, turn each one counterclockwise until it clicks and the clutch pops slightly, and that unlocks the pack so it can be reset and reinstalled. If you are reusing the same clutch after removal, the transport fastener has to be put back in place before it goes back on the input shaft.

The reason a shop keeps this on the wall is the DPS6 clutch shudder and slip complaint, which usually ends in a clutch pack replacement. Pulling the clutch by hand is how packs get bent and how input shafts get damaged, and buying a fresh 6DCT250 clutch assembly every time is expensive. This tool lets you remove, respring, and reinstall the clutch the way the actuators expect it. Made of hardened steel and comes in a carrying case with a pair of gloves.
