FOXWELL NT726 Bidirectional Scan Tool + 12 Resets

The FOXWELL NT726 is an all-system bidirectional scan tool. It reads and clears codes in more than 22 control modules rather than just the powertrain, so the transmission (TCM), ABS, SRS, BCM, EPB and the rest of the network are all on one menu. Bidirectional means it sends commands back to the vehicle instead of only listening: you can command an ABS pump, a cooling fan, an injector or a window motor and watch whether the part actually responds. That is how you separate a failed component from a wiring or module problem before you buy anything.

For transmission work the two functions that matter are TCM live data and transmission adaptation. Live data lets you watch fluid temperature, input and output shaft speed, commanded gear versus actual gear and solenoid state while the vehicle is running, which is what tells you whether a harsh 1-2 or a flare is a solenoid, a clutch pack, or just adaptive learning that has drifted. Transmission adaptation resets those learned shift values, the step you have to complete after a valve body swap, a solenoid replacement, or a rebuild, otherwise the unit keeps applying the old learned pressures to new clutches.

Twelve service resets are included: ABS bleeding, oil light reset, EPB service, SAS calibration, DPF regeneration, TPMS reset, injector coding, throttle body matching, window and door control, transmission adaptation, suspension reset and battery registration. It supports CAN-FD for newer GM and other CAN-FD vehicles, and it is FCA AutoAuth ready for 2018-up Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Fiat and RAM (those vehicles need the 12+8 adapter). Coverage is 1996-up OBD2, EOBD and JOBD across 100-plus brands.

Hardware is a 5.5 inch HD touchscreen that works with gloves on, 32GB of onboard storage for saved data and screenshots, one-click PDF report printing over Wi-Fi, lifetime free software updates, and a hardshell case. Note that it does not do key or immobilizer programming.
