JRready ST6359 Deutsch DT Connector and Crimp Tool Kit

A complete Deutsch DT setup: 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 12 position sealed connector pairs, size 16 solid contacts for 16 to 20 AWG wire, wedge locks, sealing plugs, the HDT-16DT ratcheting crimp tool and pin removal tools. 355 pieces total. DT is the connector series used on diesel trucks, Allison and Aisin external harnesses, aftermarket standalone transmission controllers, trailer and auxiliary circuits, and most heavy-equipment wiring, so one kit covers the sealed-connector work that comes through a transmission shop.

The crimp tool is the part worth paying for. It is an 8-indent ratcheting hand tool with eight adjustable settings for 12 to 22 AWG, and it will not release until the crimp is complete, so every contact comes out of it the same. Barrel-crimped solid contacts done with the right die pull far harder than a generic open-barrel crimp and do not creep loose under vibration, which is exactly the failure that shows up later as an intermittent solenoid or speed sensor code.

The DT housings are flame-retardant PA66 with silicone seals, rated for wet and salted-road service, and they use the orange wedge lock that positively retains the contacts once seated. If you are building a standalone harness for a 4L60E or 4L80E swap, extending an external speed sensor lead, or repairing a chafed Allison harness where the original connector is no longer available, this is the kit that lets you make the repair a permanent one rather than a splice and heat shrink.
