Removes the pressed-on 5th/6th gear assembly from the mainshaft during a Tremec T56 or TR6060 six-speed teardown, including the 2013-2014 Dodge Viper.
This is the 9379A gear remover leg for the Tremec T56 and TR6060 six-speed manual transmissions. It grips behind the pressed-on 5th and 6th gear assembly so you can draw the gears off the mainshaft during a teardown or rebuild instead of hammering on them and mushrooming the shaft. It is a direct replacement for the OEM 9379A puller leg used on TR6060 5th/6th gear assemblies and T56 5th gear, including the 2013-2014 Dodge Viper (Tremec TR6060).
On the bench the 9379A hooks under the gear and presses it off in combination with the 9382 bridge, the 1027 press button, and the 9378 bolt kit. Those three pieces are not included with this leg, so treat this as the replacement or spare component for a shop that already runs the puller set, not as a complete standalone kit. Order it on its own when your 9379A leg is worn or you want a backup on the bench.
The leg is machined from high-strength steel with a corrosion-resistant finish so it holds its jaw geometry under repeated press loads. It weighs about 1.12 lb. Ships from the USA, handling in 1-2 business days.
