The CRP123 Advanced is the tool you reach for when a truck comes in with a shift complaint and no obvious mechanical cause. It scans four systems - engine, transmission, ABS and airbag - and pulls codes out of the TCM itself, not just the generic powertrain codes a basic code reader shows you. Auto VIN identifies the vehicle when you plug in, so you are into the transmission module in a few seconds instead of clicking through make and model menus.

Where it earns its keep on a transmission job is the live data stream. You can watch transmission fluid temperature, input and output shaft speed, commanded gear versus actual gear, TCC slip and line pressure while the vehicle is running or on a road test. That is how you tell a slipping clutch pack from a solenoid that is not being commanded, or confirm that a P0741 converter clutch code is real slip and not a stuck TCC regulator valve. Read the code, verify it against live data, clear it, then drive it and see if it comes back.

It also runs eight reset services that normally mean a dealer visit: throttle body relearn, oil light reset, steering angle sensor calibration, electronic parking brake and brake pad service, battery registration (BMS), DPF regeneration, injector coding and ABS bleeding. The throttle relearn matters after transmission work on drive-by-wire vehicles, since a fresh adaptation cleans up the shift feel customers complain about after a rebuild.

Hardware is a 5-inch touchscreen running Android 8.1 with 64GB of storage and a 6000mAh battery charged over USB-C, so it will run a full road test without being tethered. Coverage runs 1996 and newer on 12V vehicles across American, European and Asian brands, with CAN FD and DoIP support (adapter sold separately) for late-model vehicles and FCA SGW gateway support through a separate registration. Wi-Fi updates are free for the life of the tool.
