Bidirectional full-system scan tool that reads transmission, engine, ABS and SRS codes and runs active solenoid tests on 150+ car and truck brands.
The MUCAR 682 is the step up from the 632 Elite in MUCAR's lineup: same bidirectional control, but full-system coverage instead of four modules. It scans every control unit the vehicle reports, so on a transmission job you get the TCM plus everything that can lie to it - engine, ABS wheel speed, body control, and the gateway. One-click AutoVIN identifies the vehicle, then the health scan lists stored and pending codes module by module.
Bidirectional means it sends commands back to the vehicle instead of only reading. That is how you confirm a shift solenoid actually clicks, cycle the pressure control solenoid, command the cooling fan, or bleed ABS without a second tech on the pedal. When a truck comes in with a harsh 1-2 shift and a P0751, an active test tells you in thirty seconds whether the solenoid responds or the valve body is hanging up - before you drop the pan.
It carries 20+ reset and service functions, including transmission/gearbox adaptation learning (the relearn you need after a valve body or solenoid swap so the TCM stops using the old adapts), oil reset, EPB, steering angle, TPMS, throttle adaptation, injector coding, ABS bleed, battery registration, and DPF regeneration. Protocol support covers CAN FD for late-model GM and Ford, and FCA SGW so you can get past the security gateway on 2018-and-newer Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram without a separate dongle.
Coverage runs to 150+ vehicle brands in 28 languages, with AI-assisted analysis and a built-in Q and A that turns a raw code into likely causes and test steps. Updates are free for the life of the tool over WiFi - no annual subscription, which is the usual trap on shop-grade scanners in this price range.
