Bidirectional scan tool that reads and clears engine, transmission, ABS and SRS codes, runs active component tests, and graphs live data on a 6.2-inch screen.
The THINKSCAN 662 is a bidirectional full-system scanner, which is the part that matters if you work on transmissions. Instead of only talking to the engine computer like a twenty-dollar code reader, it reads and clears codes out of the TCM, ECM, ABS, and SRS modules, and it can send commands back to those modules to actuate a component and watch it respond. That is how you tell a bad solenoid from a bad wire without pulling the pan first.
It carries 12 service resets, including a gearbox/transmission adaptation reset along with oil, throttle adaptation, ABS bleeding, BMS, steering angle (SAS), injector coding, brake, DPF, and TPMS. Live data comes back as text or a 4-in-1 merged waveform, so you can graph line pressure, TFT (fluid temperature), input and output shaft speed side by side while the truck runs and catch an intermittent shift fault as it happens. Every scan can be saved as a report to compare before and after a repair.
Coverage runs OBDII vehicles from 1996 up across 140-plus brands, with CAN FD support for newer GM and the FCA SGW AutoAuth gateway for 2018-and-newer Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram (the FCA AutoAuth account is registered and paid separately through FCA, not included). The unit is a standalone 6.2-inch touchscreen running Android 8 with its own battery, so it does not need a phone app or a subscription, and updates over WiFi are free for the life of the tool.
