Tremec TKO600 Billet Aluminum Shift Lever, Grid Style

Billet Specialties part number 264845 is a CNC-machined aluminum shift lever in the company's Grid style, made in the United States. It is sold as a replacement stick for the Tremec TKO600 five-speed and also fits the TKO500 and the T-56 six-speed, so it covers most of the Tremec boxes that end up behind a small block in a swap chassis.

The reason you replace a stick is almost never cosmetic. A TKO600 that has been rowed hard, or one that got leaned on during a bellhousing swap, ends up with a stick that is slightly bent or that has worked loose where it clamps to the shifter stub. From the driver's seat that reads as a vague gate - you cannot feel 3rd separate cleanly from 5th, and the knob sits an inch off where your hand expects it. A one-piece billet lever puts the stick back on center and takes the flex out of the lever above the pivot.

This is the lever only, not a complete shifter assembly. Before ordering, pull your console boot and confirm what your shifter stub looks like and what thread your knob uses, because you will reuse your existing knob. Package is 12 in x 5.5 in x 1 in and about 1 lb, so it goes on the bench with the shifter still in the car - you are only unbolting the stick, not opening the transmission.
