Master overhaul kit for the Toyota U250E five-speed automatic: friction plates, steels, and the full gasket and seal set for Camry, Highlander, and RAV4.
The U250E is the Aisin-built five-speed automatic that Toyota ran in a huge slice of front-wheel-drive cars through the 2000s and early 2010s. When one starts flaring on the 2-3 shift, slipping under throttle, banging into gear, or dropping into limp mode, the clutch frictions and the aged rubber are almost always what let go. This is the full master overhaul package for that unit, so the case is not sitting open on the bench while you chase individual part numbers. It carries the friction plates, the steel separator plates, and the complete gasket, seal, and O-ring set in one box.
Fitment covers the common four- and six-cylinder U250E applications: 2003-2009 Camry (2.4L, 3.0L, 3.3L, 3.5L), 2007-2013 Corolla (1.8L, 2.4L), 2007-2013 Highlander (2.4L, 2.7L, 3.3L, 3.5L), 2005-2014 RAV4 (2.4L, 2.5L, 3.5L), 2004-2008 Solara (2.4L, 3.3L), and the 2009 Matrix (1.8L, 2.4L). It is cataloged against OE U250E / U250 and the closely related U251E in the six-cylinder cars.
On the bench this is a straight friction-and-seal rebuild: soak the new frictions in ATF before assembly, replace every lip seal and O-ring in the drums and pistons as you go, set the clutch clearances, and lay in the fresh pan gasket and filter seal on reassembly. Match the new steels and frictions to the stack you pulled so the pack heights come back to spec. It is the parts side of the job only; measuring tools, a torque converter, and the valve body gaskets specific to your build are separate.
