UA80E Transmission Friction Clutch Plate Rebuild Kit

A complete friction and steel plate set for the Toyota UA80E and UA80F eight-speed automatic, manufacturer part number ING-GN03966. Fitment covers 2016-up Toyota Sienna, Camry with the 2.5L four or the V6, Avalon V6, Highlander and the Lexus ES 350. Kit weight is 2.27 lb, packed 16 x 11.5 x 3 inches.

This is the clutch content of a UA80 overhaul: the frictions and the mating steels for the drum packs, cut to the stack heights the unit was built with. It is what you order when the unit is coming apart for slip or burnt fluid and the hard parts check out - you are replacing the wear items, not the geartrain.

The UA80 usually announces itself the same way. Fluid comes out dark and smells cooked, the unit flares between gears under light throttle, a shift lands soft and long instead of crisp, or the converter clutch shudders at a steady cruise and the scan tool logs a slip-ratio fault. By the time the fluid is black the frictions are already glazed, and new plates in a clean unit are the only fix that stays fixed.

On the bench, measure clutch clearance on every pack after assembly and correct it with selective plates rather than accepting whatever falls out - the UA80 is not forgiving of a loose pack. Soak the new frictions in clean WS fluid before they go in, and air-check each drum before the case closes up.
