XTOOL D5S OBD2 Scanner - Transmission, Engine, ABS, SRS with Gearbox Relearn

Most scan tools in this price range only talk to the engine computer, so the second the transmission light comes on you are back to guessing or paying a shop to plug in. The XTOOL D5S reads four modules, transmission, engine, ABS, and SRS airbag, which is what puts it on a rebuilder's bench instead of just in a glovebox. On the transmission side it pulls and clears TCM codes, streams live data, and does a Gearbox Match adaption so the computer relearns after you replace or service a solenoid, valve body, or the whole unit.

The live data is the part that earns its keep. Open the transmission module and it graphs fluid temperature, shaft speed, and line pressure in real time, so you can watch a solenoid or a pressure fault as it happens instead of chasing a code that already cleared. If a car has dropped into limp mode from a stored trans code, the D5S clears it so you can move the vehicle and road-test after the fix. You get up to four PID graphs at once and a battery voltage readout on the home screen.

It also runs the relearns a rebuild or R&R usually needs from other systems: crankshaft position (CKP) relearn after an engine or sensor job, throttle body relearn, SAS steering angle calibration, BMS battery registration, injector coding, TPMS reset, EPB electronic parking brake release, ABS bleeding, and oil service reset, 16 reset functions in all. It supports CAN FD and FCA AutoAuth for newer domestic and European vehicles (the FCA AutoAuth account is registered separately on their site), and covers OBDII 12V cars and light trucks built after 1996 across 90-plus brands.

Hardware is a 5.45-inch 1440x720 touchscreen with a rechargeable battery that also tops up off the OBDII port while you diagnose, silicone grips, and 32GB-plus expandable storage. Software updates are free for life over WiFi with no subscription. It is a diagnostic, live-data, and reset tool, not a dealer-level programming station, so it does not flash or reprogram control modules.
