XTOOL D7BT Bidirectional Scan Tool with ECU Coding

The D7BT is the tool for a shop that has outgrown a code reader. It carries over 4000 bidirectional controls, which means it does not just trigger a component and wait to see if something moves. It sends the command and reads the ECU response back, so you get confirmation from the module that the actuator did what it was told. That is how you separate a failed shift solenoid from an open circuit without pulling the pan.

One-click full-system diagnostics walks every module on the vehicle and reports codes with live data. ECU coding is supported online for Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Renault and Land Rover, and offline for Mercedes-Benz and Mitsubishi, so a replaced module can be matched and its adaptive data reset without a trip to the dealer.

It runs 36-plus service functions, including crank sensor relearn, and supports FCA secure gateway, CAN FD and DoIP for late-model vehicles. The AI assistant sits under the Diagnosis menu: after you read codes, it returns a fault analysis and a repair order to work through, which is useful when you are looking at a code you have not seen before.

Connection is wireless, so the VCI stays plugged into the DLC while you move around the vehicle. Software updates are included for three years.
