TF60SN 09G Transmission Solenoid Kit for VW Jetta

This is a complete solenoid set for the Aisin TF60-SN, the transverse six-speed automatic Volkswagen sells under the 09G code. The solenoids mount to the valve body and control line pressure and every shift, so when the windings open up or the pintles hang, the unit shifts hard, flares between gears, bangs into gear from a stop, or drops into limp mode and stays in third. Swapping the whole set at once is the normal repair, because a valve body that has cooked one solenoid has usually cooked its neighbors.

Fitment covers VW Jetta 2.5L 2005-2010, Rabbit 2.5L 2006-2009, Passat 2.0L 2006-2010, Beetle 2.5L 2008-2017, Golf 2.5L 2010-2014, and CC 2.0L 2009. Part reference is TF60SN 09G. These are direct replacements for the factory units and drop onto the stock valve body with no modification.

On the bench, drop the pan, pull the filter, and unbolt the valve body with the shift linkage disconnected. The solenoids come off with their retainers and connector clips. Replace every one in the set, keep the bores and screens clean, and torque the valve body bolts evenly on reassembly. Refill with the correct Aisin-spec ATF and reset the transmission adaptation values so the TCM relearns clutch fill times against the new solenoids, otherwise the first few shifts will still feel wrong.
