Pulls the case half off a VW/Audi 0AM DQ200 seven-speed dry DSG so the shafts and bearings separate without prying or heating the housing.
This is the puller setup for splitting a Volkswagen/Audi 0AM gearbox — the seven-speed dry dual-clutch unit VAG also calls DQ200. The housing on these boxes sits over the differential and shaft bearings with an interference fit, and there is nowhere sane to get a pry bar in. The kit clamps to the case and pulls it straight off under screw pressure, so the input shafts, output shafts and bearing races come apart square instead of cocked.
Fitment covers the 0AM as fitted across the VAG range: Audi A1 2010-up, A3 2008-up and Q3 2011 (1.2 through 1.8L); VW Golf and Golf Plus 2007-up, Jetta and Jetta Wagon 2008-up, Passat 2008-up, Polo 2007-2009, Beetle 2011, Tiguan 2009-up, Touran 2010-up, Caddy Van, Scirocco and Sharan; Skoda Fabia, Octavia and Superb; and Seat Ibiza, Leon and Altea. All of them are the 7-speed FWD dry DSG.
Bench use is straightforward: drain the box, pull the mechatronic and the clutch pack, break the case bolts loose, then bolt the puller plate to the housing and wind the center screw down evenly. Because the load stays on the case flange instead of the bearing journals, you are not driving the diff bearing outer races out of round on the way apart — the usual reason a rebuilt 0AM comes back whining. Everything is heat-treated steel with a corrosion coating, and the set stores in a fitted case so nothing walks off the bench.
