About this product

Accumulator housing and valve body repair kit for the VW Group 0AM DQ200 seven-speed dry dual-clutch, sold under OE numbers 0AM325066AE, 0AM325066AC, 0AM325066AA, 0AM325066C, 0AM325066R and 0AM325413A. The 0AM sits in front-wheel-drive VW Golf, Jetta, Polo and Passat, Skoda Octavia and Fabia, Seat Leon and Ibiza, and Audi A1 and A3 with the dry-clutch DSG. It is not the wet-clutch DQ250 (02E) unit and will not interchange with it.

The accumulator housing is the hydraulic block bolted to the DQ200 mechatronic that stores the pressure the pump builds and feeds it back out to the clutch actuators and shift forks. It is the single most common failure point in this box: the bores wear and the housing body cracks, so stored pressure bleeds off. The car comes in with a shudder or bang on take-up, a long delay before it will select a gear, gears dropping out under load, or the box going straight to neutral and flashing the gear display. Once pressure will not hold, the mechatronic can not command the clutches accurately no matter what the adaptation says. This housing is the 4.6mm thick version, the heavier casting used in place of the thinner original.

Bench work: drain the box, drop the mechatronic out of the case, and separate the accumulator housing from the valve body. Keep the solenoid positions and the shift fork position sensors straight as you transfer them, renew every O-ring and the housing gasket rather than reusing them, and torque the housing bolts evenly in a cross pattern so the block sits flat. Refill with G 052 512 A2 dry-DSG gear oil to the correct level, then run a basic setting and clutch adaptation with VCDS or an equivalent scan tool before road testing. Skipping the adaptation will leave the shift quality just as bad as it was before the housing went in.
