ANCEL VD700 VW Audi Full System Scanner for DSG

The ANCEL VD700 is a VAG-specific full-system scanner for Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, and Seat vehicles with the 16-pin OBD-II port, covering model years up to 2023 (it does not support battery-electric models). Instead of only reading generic P-codes off the engine, it talks to the individual control modules on the car, so you can pull and clear faults from the transmission controller, ABS, SRS, ESP, SAS, TPMS, immobilizer, and battery management system.

For gearbox work the useful part is the transmission module coverage. On a DSG car - DQ250 and DQ200 dual clutch, and the 09G and 09M Aisin torque-converter boxes used in Jetta, Passat, Tiguan, Golf, A3, and A4 - a generic reader will show you a lit CEL and nothing else. The VD700 reads the TCM's own fault memory and live data, so a mechatronic pressure fault, a clutch temperature code, or a speed sensor implausibility comes up by module and code instead of guesswork, and you can clear it once the repair is done and confirm it stays clear on a test drive.

Service functions included are throttle position adaptation, oil service reset, electronic parking brake pad reset, steering angle learning, TPMS reset, injector learning, and battery registration for a same-spec replacement battery. What it does not do: ABS bleeding, ECU or module coding, programming, or long coding. Function availability varies by model, year, and which modules the car actually has.

Results display on a 2.8-inch color screen with 11 language options and two UI themes. There are no subscription fees - software updates are free for the life of the tool and are installed over USB from a Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11 PC (there is no macOS updater). On non-VAG vehicles the VD700 falls back to generic OBD-II: read and clear codes, code definitions, live data, freeze frame, I/M readiness, EVAP test, and VIN.
