Pulls seized bearings, hubs, sprockets and pulleys with 15 tons of hydraulic force, and the arms swap between 2-jaw and 3-jaw setups.
A 15-ton hydraulic puller is the tool you reach for when a two-jaw screw puller has already rounded off and the part still has not moved. The ram is a one-piece forged steel body with no pressed-in seal rings, so there is no seam to weep oil after it sits in a toolbox for a year. You pump the handle, the ram extends against the center of the shaft, and the jaws do the pulling instead of your arms and a breaker bar.
The jaw set swaps between two-arm and three-arm without extra parts. Two arms is what you want on a hub or a brake drum where you can only get behind the part in two places; three arms centers the load and is the safer setup on gears, sprockets, pulleys and press-fit bearing races that will crack if you pull them crooked. Each arm bolts to the pulling tabs with the supplied screws, so you can set the reach to the part instead of forcing one fixed geometry onto everything. It works laid on its side on a bench or standing vertical under a vehicle.
On driveline work this is the puller for output shaft bearings, extension housing bushings that have seized to the shaft, transfer case chain sprockets, axle bearings and pinion yokes. On general shop work it pulls wheel hubs, rotors, brake drums, harmonic balancers and crank pulleys. The kit ships in a molded case with the cylinder, handle, three jaws, six pulling tabs, six screws, a spring thimble and a pull ring, so there is nothing else to buy before the first job.
