This is a complete master overhaul kit for the Chrysler A518 (46RH/46RE) and A618 (47RH/47RE) four-speed automatics used behind Dodge Ram 1500/2500/3500, Dakota, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee applications from roughly 1990 up. If the transmission is slipping in overdrive, flaring on the 2-3 shift, or leaking at the pump and pan, these are the wear parts that get replaced when the case is on the bench.
The kit covers the full soft-parts rebuild: clutch friction plates and matching steel plates, the complete rubber and O-ring seal set, the pump and case gaskets, the sealing rings, and the pan filter. The frictions use a high-coefficient lining that holds up to heat, and the steels are ground flat so the clutch packs apply clean without shudder.
Fitment covers the 46RE, 47RE, A518, and A618 (the RH/RE hydraulic and electronic overdrive variants). Because 46RE and 47RE share most internals, confirm your unit against the case tag and pump before ordering the friction count. This kit rebuilds the clutch packs and reseals the unit; it does not include the torque converter, hard parts, or a valve body.
