6T70 6T75 6T80 Transmission Valve Body, GM #24261875

This is a replacement hydraulic control valve body for the GM 6T70, 6T75, and 6T80 six-speed front-wheel-drive transaxles, matching OE casting number 24261875. It covers a wide range of 2007-2019 GM cars and crossovers, including the Chevrolet Malibu (2.0L), Equinox, Impala, and Traverse; GMC Acadia and Terrain; Buick Enclave, LaCrosse, and Regal; Cadillac SRX and XTS; Pontiac G6 and Torrent; and Saturn Aura, Outlook, and Vue. Check that your existing valve body carries the 24261875 number before ordering, since GM ran more than one valve body generation across these years and the castings are not interchangeable.

The valve body is the hydraulic brain of the transaxle. It routes line pressure to the clutch packs and shift solenoids on command, so a worn bore, a stuck valve, or a leaking separator plate shows up as the failures a driver actually feels: harsh or banging 1-2 and 2-3 shifts, a soft or delayed engagement into drive or reverse, slip and flare between gears, and P0700, P0776, or P0842-type pressure and solenoid codes that drop the car into limp mode. Replacing a tired valve body is the common fix once the fluid, filter, and pressure-switch checks come back clean.

Swapping it is an in-vehicle or on-bench job: drop the transaxle side pan, unplug the internal harness, back the old valve body bolts out in sequence, and transfer or renew the solenoids for your build before torquing the replacement down evenly to spec. Prime it with clean fluid and let the transmission relearn its shift adaptives on the first few drives. Do a full 6T70/6T75 filter and fluid service at the same time so the fresh valve body is not fed debris out of the old pan.
