Complete master overhaul kit for the ZF 8HP70/8HP75 eight-speed: clutch frictions, steels, gaskets and seals to rebuild BMW, Jeep and Dodge units.
This is a complete master rebuild kit for the ZF 8HP70 and 8HP75 eight-speed longitudinal automatic, the transmission ZF supplies to BMW and to the Chrysler group (where it is badged 845RE and 8HP75). The kit bundles the friction clutch plates, the steel plates, the full overhaul gasket and seal set and the rubber O-rings and lip seals, so you can strip the unit and reassemble it without hunting individual part numbers.
Fitment is broad. It covers 2011-2016 BMW X3, 2015 X4, 2010-2016 X5 and 2010-2014 X6; 2013-2016 Chrysler 300; 2013-2016 Dodge Charger and Durango; 2011-2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0/3.6/5.7/6.4L; 2010-2016 Jaguar XF and XJ and 2011-2014 XK; 2014-2016 Land Rover Discovery and 2010-2016 Range Rover; and 2013-2016 Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte. The 8HP was built in several clutch counts across those years, so match the friction and steel stack to what comes out of your case before you build.
Most 8HP units land on the bench for high-mileage clutch wear, harsh or flaring shifts and mechatronic-related complaints. When you rebuild, replace every friction and steel as a set along with all the gaskets, O-rings and lip seals rather than reusing glazed material. Soak the new frictions in ATF before install, renew the mechatronic sleeve and bridge seals while you are in there, and set each clutch pack to clearance as you stack it. Refill with the correct ZF Lifeguard 8 / equivalent 8-speed ATF on assembly.
