6R80 Transmission Pan with Drain Plug and Gasket

This is a direct-fit steel transmission pan for the Ford 6R80 six-speed automatic, the transmission behind the F-150, Expedition, Mustang and Lincoln Navigator from 2011-2017, plus the 6R80/6R100 in the 2017-2018 F-250 and 2018 F-350 Super Duty. It replaces Ford part number BR3Z-7A194-A (also cataloged as 265-854) and bolts on with your factory pan bolts.

The reason to run it is the drain plug. The factory 6R80 pan has no drain plug, so a fluid change means breaking the whole pan loose and catching several quarts as they dump, usually down your arm. This pan comes with a threaded drain plug already installed and a rubber gasket in the box, so you pull the plug, let it drain, and refill through the fill port without ever removing the pan. On a 6R80 that wants a drain-and-fill every 30,000 to 50,000 miles, that turns a messy afternoon into a ten-minute job.

The pan is stamped steel with a black anti-rust coating and holds the stock fluid capacity, so it does not change your fill volume or line up as a deep sump. One honest note: the supplied drain plug is a standard steel plug, not magnetic. If you want to keep catching clutch material, pull the two magnets out of your old pan and drop them into this one before it goes up.
