Torque Limiting Extension Set 1/2 Inch Drive 10-Piece

Torque sticks are how you use an impact gun on wheel and driveline hardware without overtightening it. Each extension is a calibrated torsion bar: it twists once the fastener reaches the rated value and the gun simply stops moving the nut past that point. Ten of them come in the set, each color coded and marked with its value.

The set covers 65, 75, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130, 140, and 150 ft-lb (90 to 200 Nm). That is the practical range for lug nuts across most cars and light trucks and it also covers the driveshaft flange and crossmember hardware you hit on the way out of a transmission R and R. Pick the stick that matches the spec, run the gun until it stops advancing, and move on.

All ten are 8 inch, 1/2 inch drive, made from chrome molybdenum with a matte finish. They need no calibration and no maintenance, which is the point of the design. Use them with an impact gun, not a breaker bar or a hand ratchet: a stick only limits torque when it is being driven by hammering impacts, so a steady hand pull will go straight past the rating.
