BMW F15 Transmission Mount Bushing Remover Tool Kit

The rubber bushings in the transmission mount carrier on the F15 X5, F16 X6, F25 X3 and F26 X4 tear long before anything else in the driveline does. The symptom is a clunk on throttle transitions and a shudder felt through the console on a 2-1 downshift. Getting the old bushings out with a ball joint press and a pile of sockets usually chews up the carrier bore.

This set is the OEM-pattern press kit for that job. It replaces BMW special tools 221051, 221052, 221053, 334465, 334466 and 221046. The forcing screw, thrust bearing and stepped cups let you draw the bushing straight out and pull the new one back in square, and the kit is designed to work with the transmission still in the vehicle. You drop the crossmember and support the box rather than pulling it.

Chassis coverage is X5/F15 2013-2018, X6/F16 2014-2019, X3/F25 2011-2017 and X4/F26 2014-2018. Note this is the F-chassis bushing set specifically, not the E70 generation tooling. The F-chassis carrier uses a different bushing diameter and the E70 cups will not seat correctly.
