Pulls the input shaft bearing on Eaton Fuller 1-3/4 in and 2 in shafts without chipping the drive gear teeth or sending the transmission out for repair.
This is the input shaft bearing puller for Eaton Fuller medium and heavy-duty truck transmissions running a 1-3/4 inch or 2 inch input shaft. It replaces the old habit of prying on the bearing snap ring, which is how techs break the drive gear teeth on the input shaft and end up sending the whole shaft out for repair. This tool captures the shaft and walks the bearing straight off instead.
It fits the common Fuller manual boxes, the FRO, RTLO, FR and Roadranger families, as well as UltraShift Plus units built on the same shafts. It does not fit RT600 or 6600 series transmissions, so confirm your shaft size before ordering. Reviewers report using it on RTLO and FR-series boxes and on Eaton/Detroit combinations behind DD15 and C15 engines.
Using it is a bench job: pull the outer retaining ring, slide the puller body over the input shaft, seat the split snap ring in the tool's notch, cocoon it with the close ring, then run the drive screw down with a ratchet or wrench until the bearing lets go. The kit ships as the puller body, drive screw, snap ring and close ring; you supply the ratchet or wrench. Machined from hardened steel, about 7 pounds, manufacturer part number B-134. Ships from the USA.
