Bottom-fill funnel and adapter kit for VW and Audi DSG and 02J transaxles, so you can add ATF through the fill port and set the level to the factory overflow spec.
VW and Audi DSG and 02J transaxles do not use a dipstick. The automatic fluid level is set by a bottom-fill and overflow procedure: you add fluid through a fill plug low on the case until the excess runs back out at a specified fluid temperature. Miss that level and a DSG will bang shifts, slip the wet clutches, or throw fault codes; an 02J run low chews up its bearings and synchros. This CTA 3403 kit gives you the funnel and adapter fittings to do the fill from below and follow the factory level-set exactly.
On the job you connect the adapter to the transmission fill port, feed fluid up into the case, and let the transaxle come up to the temperature window called out in the service procedure. When fluid dribbles steadily out of the overflow, the level is correct and you pull the adapter and reinstall the plug. Because it fills from the bottom rather than pouring in from the top, air does not get trapped and you are reading the true static level the factory intends.
It fits the 6-speed wet-clutch DSG (DQ250 / 02E) found across VW and Audi as well as the 02J 5-speed manual transaxle. Professional-grade, heavy-duty construction so the fittings seal and hold up to repeated fluid services. Ships from the USA.
