Drives the dual clutch module squarely onto the D7UF1 7-speed dry DCT input shafts, and sets the shaft seals with three 09478-26000 installers.
This is the driver kit for seating the dual clutch assembly back onto a Hyundai or Kia D7UF1 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission. It replaces factory special tool 09430-2A240 and ships with three 09478-26000 oil seal installers, so the clutch pack and the shaft seals behind it can both be done with one set on the bench.
The D7UF1 clutch module rides on the two concentric input shafts and locks on with a splined retainer. It has to go on square. Driving it with a brass drift or a piece of pipe cocks the module, mars the retainer, and leaves the clutch with uneven travel that shows up later as launch shudder or a clutch that will not fully release. The installer in this kit picks up on the module face and drives it down the shaft centerline, straight, until the retainer seats. The three seal installers set the input shaft and actuator shaft seals to depth without rolling a lip.
Applications are the Hyundai and Kia 7DCT cars built from 2011 forward: Accent, Veloster, Sonata, Elantra and Tucson on the Hyundai side, and Forte/K3, Optima/K5, Sportage and Stonic on the Kia side. This is the install-side tool. If you are pulling the clutch off the shafts, that is the clutch puller job (09430-C1180); this kit is what puts the new module back on and gets the seals in behind it.
Alloy steel bodies, bolt-on construction. Shop tool for a job that is done on a bench with the transaxle out, not a driveway part.
