Derale 13720 Electra-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler + Fan

The Derale 13720 Electra-Cool is a remote-mount fluid cooler with its own shrouded 12-volt electric fan, so it does not need to sit behind the grille in the ram-air stream to work. You bolt it anywhere there is room, a frame rail, a bed side, an inner fender, and the fan moves the air across the core. That makes it the answer for builds where the front of the vehicle is already packed with a radiator, condenser, and intercooler, or for rigs that make the most heat sitting still, tow rigs crawling up a grade, trucks idling in stop-and-go, and high-stall automatics that dump heat straight into the fluid.

The core is aluminum tube-and-fin with a 190-watt fan pulling through it. It is universal fit and plumbs inline on the transmission cooler return line, either in series after the factory radiator cooler or as a standalone loop. Beyond automatic transmission fluid it is commonly used on power steering, engine oil, and differential fluid, anywhere you need to shed heat and there is no airflow to count on. Wire the fan to switched 12-volt power or through a thermostatic fan switch (sold separately) so it runs only when the fluid is hot.
