Pulls the front countershaft bearing on Eaton Fuller FR-series boxes and holds the upper countershaft in time during RT-series main box assembly.
Two-tool service set for heavy-duty Eaton Fuller manual gearboxes: a countershaft front bearing puller that replaces Roadranger RR1014TR, and a countershaft support block that replaces RR1013TR. Both are cut from steel and drop straight into the same procedures the OEM tools are called out for, so you are not improvising with a slide hammer and a pry bar on a $6,000 box.
The RR1014TR-style puller is what you reach for on FR-series main boxes when the front countershaft bearing has to come off the shaft. It grips behind the bearing race and pulls square, which is the whole point - a bearing walked off crooked with a two-jaw puller will gall the countershaft journal, and once that journal is scored the shaft is scrap. Set the puller, take it up slow, and the bearing comes off without touching the shaft.
The RR1013TR-style block is the Roadranger timing tool for RT-series main box assembly. With the countershafts timed and the mainshaft going in, the upper countershaft wants to rotate and lose its timing marks the second you let go of it. The block sits in the case and holds that upper countershaft where you set it, so the timing marks stay lined up while you land the mainshaft and gear stack. If you have ever had to pull a main box back apart because one countershaft jumped a tooth, this is the tool that stops it.
Set weighs 3.72 lb and ships as two pieces. Fits Eaton Fuller FR-series and RT-series (Roadranger) transmissions - the 9, 10, 13 and 18 speed truck boxes that use those main box layouts. Confirm your box designation before ordering; the FR and RT families share these procedures but a mid-range Fuller is not the same build.
