Eaton Fuller Roadranger Slide Hammer Adapter Kit RR1011TR

This is a five-piece slide hammer puller set for Eaton Fuller Roadranger transmissions, sold as an aftermarket replacement for the Eaton RR1011TR adapter kit. It covers the pulls you cannot get at with a bearing splitter or a punch: output shaft seals, bearing races seated in the transmission case, and the auxiliary countershaft front bearings.

The kit is built around the RR1010TR slide hammer, which threads into four adapters. RR1011TR-1 pulls output seals. RR1011TR-2 and RR1011TR-3 pull bearing races out of the case bores. RR1011TR-4 pulls reverse idler shafts on FR-series transmissions. Because each adapter grabs from behind the part and loads it straight out, you are not prying against the case face or the bore, which is how case bores get gouged and how sealing surfaces get ruined.

On the bench, thread the correct adapter onto the slide hammer, seat it square behind the seal or race, and work the weight in short controlled strokes rather than one hard swing. A race that is cocked in the bore will gall the aluminum on the way out, so reset and pull straight if it starts to tip. The reverse idler adapter is the one that saves the most time on an FR-series teardown, since that shaft normally fights you with no shoulder to grip.
