Bulk 3/8-inch ID SAE J1532 transmission cooler hose, 5 feet, rated 250 PSI working pressure for the oil-cooler lines running between the transmission and the radiator or aux cooler.
This is 5 feet of 3/8-inch (9.5mm) inside-diameter oil cooler hose built to the SAE J1532 spec — the standard for automatic transmission fluid cooler lines. Outside diameter is 0.63 inch (16mm), so it clamps down inside standard 3/8 line clamps and worm-gear clamps without shimming. Use it to replace the rubber sections of the cooler circuit that run from the transmission cooler fittings out to the radiator cooler tank or an auxiliary cooler.
The hose is CPE (chlorinated polyethylene) rated for 250 PSI continuous working pressure and a 1000 PSI burst, with a service range of -40°F to 257°F and an 85.5mm minimum bend radius. That covers the pressure and heat a cooler line sees in normal towing and stop-and-go service. It handles ATF, engine oil, hydraulic fluid, lubricant and fuel, so the same roll works for power steering return and general oil-transfer jobs on the bench.
Cut it to length with a sharp blade or hose cutter, deburr the end, and slide it over the barbed or beaded cooler fitting past the bead. Secure each end with a fuel-injection-style clamp or a good worm-gear clamp positioned behind the bead — do not rely on friction alone on a pressurized ATF line. Route the hose away from exhaust and sharp edges and leave a little slack so engine movement does not tug the joints.
Cracked, weeping or ballooned factory cooler hose is a common cause of a slow ATF leak and low fluid that shows up as slipping or delayed engagement. Replacing the rubber sections with fresh J1532 hose is a cheap way to stop that leak without cutting into the hard lines. This is bulk hose only — clamps and fittings are not included.
