Three-piece compressor and snap ring set that holds the clutch piston return spring down on 10R80 and 10L80 drums so the ring comes out clean.
Three-tool set for pulling apart the clutch drums in a Ford 10R80 or GM 10L80/10L90 ten-speed. The large compressor plate seats over the piston return spring assembly, the threaded center screw pulls it down square, and the hooked snap ring tool lifts the retaining ring out of its groove while the spring stays loaded. Doing this with a shop press and a socket is how techs bend retainers and launch snap rings across the bench.
Fitment covers 2017-2023 Ford F-150, 2018-2021 Expedition, 2018-2021 Mustang, 2020-2021 Explorer, 2019-2021 Ranger, and GM trucks and SUVs running the 10L80 or 10L90 case. The same drums come apart on both sides of that joint-venture design, so one set covers the Ford and GM builds.
The compressor also doubles as a caliper piston pusher on brake work, which is useful if you only have one bench. Steel construction, and it ships in a molded case so the plate, screw and ring tool stay together between jobs.
