20 Ton H-Frame Hydraulic Shop Press with Press Plates

A 20-ton H-frame hydraulic press is the tool that does the pressing work a rebuild actually needs: seating input and output shaft bearings, pressing sun gear and planet bushings out and back in, installing sprag and roller clutch races, and driving stubborn seals and dowels. Twenty tons of ram force covers the heavy press-fits a bottle jack or hand driver cannot touch.

The frame is welded from heavy-gauge carbon steel and holds alignment under full load, so the ram comes down square on the work instead of cocking a bearing sideways. The work table pins to several heights on the side channels, so you can set the gap for a small transaxle bushing or open it up for a full case, and the pair of arbor press plates bridge the table to support the part while the ram pushes through the center.

The hydraulic ram runs off the built-in pump handle, so one person can build and release pressure with control rather than hammering. Beyond the transmission bench it handles wheel and axle bearings, U-joints, ball joints, and general straightening and bending. Assembly is required out of the box.
