Rolls under a car or truck to lower and reinstall a transmission or transfer case, 450 lb capacity, 7 to 23 inch lift range with safety straps.
This is a low-profile roll-under transmission jack for pulling and reinstalling passenger-car and light-truck gearboxes on the floor or under a lift. The saddle sits low at 7 inches so it slides under a car on ramps or stands, and raises to 23 inches, enough to reach most transmission and transfer-case mounting points on a car or half-ton truck. Rated at 450 lb, which covers the great majority of manual boxes and mid-weight automatics; it is not meant for a full-size diesel automatic, which runs heavier than that.
The lift is screw-driven, not a hydraulic foot pump. You raise and lower the saddle with a 1/2-inch drive ratchet or an impact on the drive nut (the ratchet is not included), which gives you fine, controllable height changes for stabbing an input shaft into the clutch or lining a bellhousing up to the dowels. A 2-meter ratchet strap holds the case to the saddle so it can not roll off while you break loose the crossmember, and four swivel casters lock so the jack stays put once you have the load balanced.
Typical jobs it handles: dropping a transmission for a clutch or rear main, pulling a unit for a reseal or valve-body service, lowering a transfer case, or holding a case up at the tunnel while you replace an input-shaft seal. Balance the load over the saddle before you strap it, work the height in small increments, and keep a hand on it while it is up. Ships from the USA, handling in 1-2 business days.
