TR-9080 DCT Transmission Filter Kit for Corvette C8

This is GM Genuine Parts 24045729, the factory transmission fluid filter kit for the Tremec TR-9080 eight-speed dual-clutch used in the 2020 and later Chevrolet Corvette C8, Stingray and Z51 alike. It is the same part GM installs on the line and the same one a dealer bills you for during a scheduled dual-clutch fluid service. Some GM Genuine Parts numbers formerly carried ACDelco GM Original Equipment packaging; the part number 24045729 is what matters and is what is stamped on the box.

The kit is the filter element plus the mounting bolts, four of them, so you are not hunting for hardware once the old filter is out. Owners consistently report the pictured three-bolt image undercounts what actually ships, and it comes with all four.

Doing it yourself: the C8 has to be dead level when you set the fluid level, so a lift is the easy way and a set of ramps on flat ground is the hard way. Bring the transmission up to operating temperature before you drain, pull the filter cover, swap the element, torque the four bolts, then refill and set the level at the specified fluid temperature window. Do not reuse the old element on a gearbox this expensive, and do not substitute a generic filter into a dual-clutch that shares its fluid with the clutch packs.

Dealers quote several hundred to well over a thousand dollars for this service. The filter itself is one of the cheapest parts of the job, which is the whole argument for using the real GM piece and keeping the receipt for warranty purposes.
