Replaces all eleven bearings in the Ford HF35 hybrid transaxle used in C-Max, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, curing whine and shaft play.
Eleven-piece bearing set for the Ford HF35 hybrid transaxle, the power-split eCVT used in the 2013-up C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi, the 2013-up Fusion Hybrid and Fusion Energi, and the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. When one of these units starts making a rising whine that tracks road speed, or you find measurable play on a shaft during teardown, the bearings are what you are chasing. This kit covers the set so you are not ordering pieces one at a time in the middle of a rebuild.
Bearing sizes in the kit: 6908, 6906, 6911, 6306, 6307, 60/22, R37-7, R60-44, and JLM506849. Those cover the generator and motor shaft positions plus the differential and counter shaft supports, so a full teardown can be reassembled on new bearings without sourcing odd sizes separately.
On the bench, pull the case halves, mark and record shim stack thickness before anything comes out, then press the old races out and the new ones in square. Set endplay back to your recorded shim value and check rotational drag before you close the case. These transaxles run tight tolerances, so do not shortcut the shim step. Note that this is a bearing kit only, not a full overhaul kit - seals, shims, and gaskets are not included and should be ordered alongside it.
