



Hydraulic ram flaring kit that forms GM transmission cooler line, 45-degree double, ISO bubble and push-connect flares on 3/16 to 1/2 inch tube.
A hydraulic flaring tool that forms the flare shapes a transmission job actually needs, including the GM transmission cooler line flare and the GM fuel line flare that hand yokes will not make cleanly. It also covers SAE 45-degree single and double flares, ISO/DIN bubble flares, and push-connect ends, so one case handles cooler lines, brake lines and fuel lines on the same vehicle.
Die coverage is 3/16 in., 1/4 in., 5/16 in., 3/8 in. and 1/2 in. tubing plus 4.75 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm and 10 mm metric line. The 32-piece set ships in a blow-molded case with a mini tube cutter and a deburring tool, and every die is stamped so you are not guessing which one makes a bubble versus a double.
On the bench: cut the line square, deburr the ID and OD, clamp the tube in the matching die with the stabilizing arm supporting the assembly, then pump the ram. The hydraulic ram applies even pressure instead of the uneven squeeze you get cranking a bar-type flaring tool, which is what causes the split lips and off-center flares that weep at the fitting. An auto-return spring backs the ram off and a pressure relief valve keeps you from over-driving a die.
This is the fix for the common cooler-line repair: a rusted 3/8 in. line at the radiator or a corroded quick-connect, where you cut the bad section out, splice in new tube and need a correct factory-shape flare that will seal against ATF pressure without leaking down the crossmember.
