Hyundai Dual Clutch Removal Puller Tool 09430-C1180

This is the equivalent of Hyundai special tool 09430-C1180, the three-jaw puller used to pull the dry dual clutch assembly out of the bellhousing on Hyundai dual clutch transmissions. The kit is one puller body with three hooked jaws and the center forcing screw, forged steel with a blackened rust-resistant finish.

The dry clutch pack sits on splined input shafts and is held by a retaining ring behind the pressure plate. Without a puller the usual attempts are prying between the clutch and the housing or hammering on the shaft, and both of them end the same way: a bent clutch cover, a scored input shaft, or a cracked bellhousing face. The three jaws hook evenly behind the clutch assembly and the center screw walks it off the splines square, so the shaft and the housing come out of the job untouched.

Plan on replacing the clutch pack as a unit when you have it out, and check the input shaft splines for wear and the release bearing travel before the new assembly goes back on. Package is 13.97 x 10.62 x 1.96 inches and the kit weighs about 9 pounds, so it stores flat in a drawer.
