Hyundai Kia 7-Speed Dry DCT Clutch Actuator Tool Set

Two-piece service set for the electric clutch actuators on Hyundai and Kia dry dual-clutch transmissions: one tool to pull the actuator off the case, one to load and seat it on reinstall. It covers both the six-speed and seven-speed dry DCT units used across Elantra, Veloster, Tucson, Kona, Rio and Soul.

The actuator sits against a spring-loaded release fork. Prying it off with a bar is how forks get tweaked and how the actuator housing ends up cracked at the mounting ear. The removal tool bolts to the actuator and backs it straight off the fork under control. The installer does the reverse: it preloads the fork so the actuator drops onto its dowels square and the bolts start by hand instead of being pulled down crooked.

Reach for it when you are chasing a shudder off the line, a clutch that will not fully release, harsh or delayed engagement, or an actuator that has already been flagged during diagnosis. It is also the tool you want any time the transmission is coming out for a clutch pack, since the actuators have to come off first and go back on with the fork correctly preloaded or the touch-point relearn will never settle.
