The Lisle 59400 is the set you reach for when a cheap wheel-bearing race kit doesn't have the right cup or the reach to seat a pinion race square. It carries eight drivers sized 2-11/16", 2-27/32", 2-7/8", 3", 3-1/4", 3-1/2", 3-3/4" and 4-1/8" so you can match the outer diameter of both the inner and outer pinion races on common light- and medium-duty rear ends.
It covers the axles techs actually rebuild: GM 8.5 and 8.6 10-bolt, Ford 8.8 and 9.75, Dana 44 and 60, and the 1/2- and 3/4-ton Ford, Dodge and GM pickup housings. The 2-11/16" driver is the one most metric-only kits skip, and it is exactly what the small GM 10-bolt pinion race needs.
A two-piece threaded handle screws together to reach deep into the differential housing so you can start a race straight and drive it home without it walking or cocking. An included pneumatic handle accepts an air-hammer bit, which lets you set a race in seconds instead of tapping it with a punch and risking a crooked, damaged seat. A smear of bearing grease between the driver cup and the race protects the finished surface while you drive.
