Injector Puller Tool for LML Duramax 6.6L 2011-2016

This is the puller for pulling injectors out of a 2011-2016 LML Duramax without wrecking them. It bolts directly to the cylinder head with the engine still in the truck, then draws the injector straight up and out of its bore under controlled load. The part number is 16400.

LML injectors seize in the head. Carbon and soot pack in around the injector body over 150,000 miles, and by the time you are chasing bad balance rates or a rail pressure fault, the injector does not want to come out. The usual shortcut is prying on the hold-down or hooking the body and yanking at an angle. That bends the injector, scores the bore, and turns an injector job into a head job. Pulling straight is the entire point of this tool.

On the bench side of the job: get the valve cover and hold-down out of the way, break the injector loose with the puller rather than with impact, and lift it clear of the head in one motion so the tip does not drag against the bore on the way out. Because it pulls and lifts in the same stroke, you are not fishing the injector out with a magnet or a hook afterward.

Fits injectors found on 2011-2016 6.6L Duramax LML diesel engines (GM 2500HD and 3500HD). It is a single-purpose head-mounted puller, not a slide hammer, so there is no hammering near the injector bore.
