Low Profile Floor Transmission Jack 1000 lb Capacity

This is a floor-style hydraulic transmission jack, not a tall telescoping unit. The saddle starts at 6.3 inches and lifts to 25.2 inches (160-640 mm), with a 1,000 lb (450 kg) lifting capacity and a 500 lb (225 kg) capacity for rolling a load across the shop. The low collapsed height is the whole point: on a car sitting on jack stands, a two-stage telescoping trans jack often will not fit under the pan at all, while this one slides in and still has enough stroke to take the weight.

On the job you set the vehicle on stands, roll the jack under and raise the saddle until it just touches the transmission pan, then chain the case down before anything comes loose. The tray adjusts for width, rotates a full 360 degrees and tilts up to about 30 degrees, which is what lets you match the driveline angle when you are lining the input shaft back up with the clutch or the converter snout back into the pump. Pump the handle to lift; the handle itself swings 360 degrees so you can work it from wherever you can actually stand.

Coming down, the return valve meters the descent instead of dropping the load, which matters when a transmission is chained to the tray at full extension. Two swivel casters and two larger fixed wheels move the jack around a tight bay. Use it for automatic and manual transmission R and R, and for supporting transfer cases, differentials and driveshafts during removal. Always support the vehicle on jack stands first - this is a lifting tool for the component, not for the vehicle.
