Adds 37-degree single and double flare dies to a Mastercool hydraulic flaring tool so you can build AN cooler and fuel lines in 3/16 through 1/2 inch.
This is the 37-degree adapter package for Mastercool's hydraulic flaring tools. It ships with a 37-degree cone, five die sets and five matching adapters covering 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8 and 1/2 inch tubing. It is not a standalone flaring tool - it drops into the hydraulic ram you already own and gives that tool 37-degree capability alongside the 45-degree work it already does.
The 37-degree flare is the AN / JIC flare, the one that seals against an AN fitting. If you are converting a transmission to braided AN cooler lines, plumbing a remote cooler or a deep pan setup, or fabricating hard line to an AN bulkhead, a 45-degree flare will not seal in that fitting - it looks close on the bench and then weeps ATF on the lift. That mismatch is the single most common cause of a leaking new cooler line.
On the bench: cut the tube square, deburr it inside and out, slide the nut and sleeve on before you flare, clamp the tube in the matching die block flush with the face, then run the ram until the 37-degree cone bottoms out. The double-flare option folds the tube back on itself for a thicker sealing face, which is the right choice on steel line that will see line pressure and vibration. Hardened steel dies, so the sealing faces stay true across repeated jobs.
Flares produced meet SAE J514 / ISO 8434-2. Also useful for hydraulic, aerospace-style AN fuel and oil lines, and HVAC tubing.
