Mityvac 7201 2.3 Gallon Fluid Evacuator and Dispenser

The Mityvac 7201 is the 2.3 gallon hand-operated evacuator most shops keep next to the lift for fluid work where a drain plug is not an option. You slide the supplied tube down a transmission dipstick tube, power steering reservoir, brake master cylinder, or coolant neck, pump the plunger to build vacuum in the tank, and the fluid pulls itself out. Nothing hits the floor and nothing has to be dropped from under the vehicle.

It also runs backwards. The same tank pressurizes to push fluid back in, which is what makes it useful on sealed transmissions and on late-model units where the fill port is buried and gravity will not do the job. Because the tank holds 2.3 gallons (8.8 liters), it will take a full ATF drain and refill in one pass rather than making you stop and dump halfway through.

The tank and pump are chemical-resistant polyethylene, so ATF, engine oil, gear oil, coolant, and brake fluid do not attack it. An automatic overflow shutoff closes the pickup when the tank fills so you do not draw fluid into the pump body, and the quick-drain spout empties it into a waste jug without tipping the whole unit over. The base is wide enough that it stays upright on a shop floor with a hose hanging off it. Model number MV7201; it is fully manual, so no shop air line or power is required.
