Mityvac MV6410A Pneumatic ATF Refill Dispenser 1.2 Gal

The MV6410A is a pressurized ATF refill rig built for sealed transmissions that have no dipstick and no fill tube. On those units the only way in is the side fill plug on the case, and the fluid has to travel uphill from your container into the pan. A funnel will not do it. This dispenser holds 1.2 gallons in a sealed reservoir, you pressurize it with the built-in manual pump, and the fluid feeds in under steady pressure until it runs back out of the fill hole at level.

Because the pump pressurizes the reservoir instead of moving the fluid directly, the ATF is not whipped or aerated on the way in. That matters on a fill-to-level procedure where you are checking flow at a specified fluid temperature. An ON/OFF flow control valve sits right at the output so you can shut the fluid off at the case instead of walking back to the reservoir, and a pressure gauge on the tank tells you when you need to pump again. An integrated relief valve keeps the tank from being over-pressurized.

Thirteen adapters are included and connect with push-to-connect fittings, so swapping from one fill-plug thread to the next takes seconds with no wrench and no thread tape. Everything drops back into a custom-molded case, which is the reason this one travels well for mobile work. The unit weighs 9.33 lb and the case measures 11.3 x 8 x 15.6 inches.

The problem it solves is the one that ends up costing a transmission: guessing at fill level. Underfilled sealed units starve the pump on hard corners and cook the clutches; overfilled units foam the fluid and push it out the vent. Filling through the plug under pressure and letting it self-level at temperature is the only way to get it right, and this is the tool that does it without dumping a gallon of ATF on the floor.
